This site is run by Roast Revolution Inc., operating as Cork & Bean, 8 Simcoe St N, Oshawa, Ontario. This page explains what we collect through the site, why, and what you can do about it. Questions: admin@corkandbeanoshawa.com.
What we collect
- Party and event bookings: your name, email, date, times, group details and any food you pre-order, so we can plan and confirm your booking.
- Musician inquiries: your name, contact details, links and promo material you send us, so we can book shows.
- Loyalty and texts: your phone number or email if you sign up, to track rewards and send the messages you signed up for. You can opt out any time.
- Visits: like most sites, we use cookies and Google Analytics to see how the site is used (pages visited, rough location, device).
- Ads: if you arrive from one of our Google or Facebook/Instagram ads, we store the ad click ID in a cookie so we know which ads lead to bookings. When you send a booking request, we may tell Google or Meta that a booking came from their ad. For Meta we send your email address in scrambled (hashed) form so it can be matched without being readable.
How we use it
To run bookings, reply to you, run our loyalty program, understand how the site is doing and see which of our ads work. We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for anything unrelated to Cork & Bean.
Who else sees it
Only the services we use to run the business: our website host, email, Google (Analytics, Ads, Calendar), Meta (Facebook and Instagram ads) and our text messaging provider. They handle it under their own privacy policies.
Our Google Ads tool
We run our own advertising with an internal tool that connects to our own Google Ads account. It only accesses our account's campaigns and reports. It does not access any visitor's Google account or Google data.
Cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and use the cookie banner on the site to turn off non-essential cookies. The site still works without them.
How long we keep it
Booking and inquiry details are kept as long as we need them for the booking and our records. Ad click cookies expire after 90 days.
Your choices
You can ask us what we have about you, ask us to fix it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing admin@corkandbeanoshawa.com. We follow Canada's privacy law (PIPEDA).
